I want to substitute a pitcher half way through an inning. This is little league so the pitchers just move around to different defensive positions and remain in the lineup. I already have a pitcher (#12) set for innings 1-3 and then another guy (#7) coming in for the 4th, 5th and 6th. I need to have a third guy come in to get the last batter of the 3rd out.
I have watched the hendheld demo but it didn't really help as I am using the PC version.
Any suggestions ?

I got the answer to my question. Thank-you Stephen at Rakonza.
These details are targeted at a youth league because all players bat and so you never want to substitute a pitcher in the batting lineup.
Go to the player in the lineup you want to bring in to pitch.
Click on the box below the player and select the player's name. Then click on the position next to the player's name and select P for pitcher. It will auto assign the current inning but ignore this for now. Right click the player's name and choose "Substitution details". Put the inning you want to bring that player into pitch for. The comment is up to you. The subbed for field should already be the player's name. The batter count is #batters who have already batter in this inning. So if batter 2 is up you put 1 in here. Pitch count is pitches already thrown. So if the count is 1-1 then it should be 2.
If you get asked if you want to substitute the player in the lineup then say "no" if the outgoing pitcher is still going to bat. Otherwise you will start giving the old pitchers batting stats to the new pitcher. (Yeah I tried that....his Dad wasn't very happy when his son moved to to 5th in the batting average.)
