Had this happen yesterday.
2 Outs. Bases Loaded.
Batter pops to 3rd who drops the ball. Runner from 3rd crosses the plate. Runner at second hesitated on the fly not realizing that it was 2 outs. 3rd baseman is able to pick up the ball and races back to 3rd and tag out the runner sliding into 3rd.
At first 1 ump said the run did count but then the 2nd ump overruled him saying it was a force.
How should this be scored and should the run have counted?
E5U? FC? Does an Error even occur if the 3rd baseman still makes a play?

IANAU but the run should not have counted. Even though the runner was out by a tag, it is still a force situation. The runner had to run (and really should have been running with 2 outs even though it was a fly ball).

A bit late to answer, but I think I can clarified a bit more:
The forced play makes the run uncounted. It would have been counted if it was not a force play since the runner choice to advance one base would have been another phase of the play (1st phase: advance from 3 to home - 2nd phase: advance from 2 to 3). If the 2B runner was tagged before the B-runner crossed home, no-run.
If the 3rd baseman could have caught the ball with "ordinary effort" then charge it with an error (E) plus a putout made on the 2B-runner. No error charge to the runner. (I don't really think that many errors are scored on batter, even if the case exists) If no error charged, score a FC to the batter, since his fair ball resulted in the putout of his comrade.

My 2 cents. No error is charged as an out is made. The play is scored as an FC with a force at third and the run does not count.
