I know that K-ForCE has a CO option...
How would you score a CO/E2?
Retrosheet event files have this notation occasionally, so I assume that the catcher is actually charged with the error... How would you score it on K-ForCE?
E2 CO works... it credits the catcher with the error as expected...
Thanks,

Hmm...I'm thinking CO is NOT an error. But if someone wants to charge it as an error - that's fine by me (and K-ForCE). Do just as you say - 'E2 CO'. This charges the error to the catcher, and a CO to the pitcher.
After some thought - if the play would have resulted in an out, if not for the obstruction, you could charge an error. I'm having a hard time with when this would happen, however. If the bat hits the catchers mit, that is going to effect the batter's swing (even if only slightly). Because the obstruction changed the outcome, I don't see how you could say it would have resulted in an out.

While I tend to agree with your reasoning, the fact that the retrosheet event files differentiate between "C" and "C/E2" (C is their equivalent to our CO) that there must be some times that he is charged with the error.
CO is charged to the Pitcher? That doesn't sound right... Where does that get tallied?

I know. I would have never considered adding the stat myself. It was added for parity with StatTrak. I think it is to account for how every batter reached base. It is probably the least valueable stat reported by the product. -Stephen

BTW, I think you can report it 'CO E2' or 'E2 CO'. Both appear to work.
The CO pitching stat is so useless, IMHO, that I've hidden it in the pitching box score. Look between WP and SO. Notice that the separator line is twice as wide as between SO and B. This is because there's another stat there, CO, but the column width is set to zero. So it does show up. If you drag the column separator, you can make the column visible.
I did the same for SH and SF as pitching stats.
More undocumented behavior, now documented. ;D
